Professor Johnny Moore is a highly respected Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and Clinical Director of Cathedral Eye Clinic, specialising in ocular surface reconstruction, laser refractive surgery, cataract and other intra-ocular eye surgery and has personally completed approximately 25,000 treatments.

Mr Niraj Mandal

Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon & Director

Mr Mandal, MBChB FEBO FRCOphth PGDip CertLRS,
is a highly experienced ophthalmic surgeon specialising in refractive lens exchange, cornea and cataract surgery, with over 3000 eye procedures performed and taken care of over 8,000 patients in consultation clinics.

Mr Wing Chan is a highly respected Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, with extensive cataract and lens replacement experience. Mr. Chan specialises in vitreo-retinal surgery.

Mr Gerard Reid

Mr Gerard Reid, MB BCh, BAO, MSc, FRCOphth, is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in cataract surgery, glaucoma (medical and surgical management) and inflammatory eye disease.

Mr. Stuart McGimpsey

Consultant Ophthalmologist

With over 10 years of consultancy experience, Mr. McGimpsey’s specialism is in Vitreoretinal surgery and macular diseases, performing treatments such as cataract surgery, treatments for retinal detachment, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and lid surgery.

Mr. Richard Best

Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon

Mr. Richard Best has over 20 years of experience as a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, with particular interest in cataract surgery and vitreoretinal surgery. Mr Best acted as Clinical Director for Ophthalmology at the Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast between 2004-2008.

Mr. Murali Upendran

Mr. Updendran is a vastly experienced ophthalmic surgeon with retinal, cataract and laser surgery experience and who has held posts in the Birmingham Midland Eye Centre, Moorfields Eye Hospital in Dubai and, more recently, at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.

Mr. Sri Kamalarajah

Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon

Mr. Sri Kamalarajah is a Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon with a specialist interest in oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital disorders. He is based at the Royal Victoria Hospital and also has sessions in the Mater and Downpatrick Hospitals.
