Cathedral Eye Clinic was today unveiled as a new corporate partner of Ulster GAA. The relationship will see Cathedral Eye Clinic establish new eye care programmes for Ulster GAA Match Officials and players at county and club level.
Cathedral Eye Clinic is home to the most advanced treatments, the highest level of patient care quality and industry-leading aftercare standards – all delivered by some of Ireland’s most capable consultant surgeons with over 150 years of combined experience. The SMILE laser surgery option, for example, boasts the quickest recovery time of all laser treatments for contact sports professionals, is minimally invasive and achieves incredible outcomes through a very simple, fast treatment. This treatment is only available in Ireland at Cathedral Eye Clinic.
Announcing the new partnership, Clinical Director, Cathedral Eye Clinic, Prof Johnny Moore, said:
“Cathedral Eye Clinic is delighted to be partnering with Ulster GAA – a volunteer-driven organisation which is focused on improving communities and consistently reinvesting in grassroots development. To date, our Clinic has helped improve the quality of life of many members of the GAA Community – across all levels and age groups including coaches, officials, volunteers and players at both elite and club levels.
“We have achieved this through offering a comprehensive range of laser and lens replacement treatments to both free patients from reliance on glasses and a range of other treatments to help patients with eye-related issues such as cataracts, macular degeneration, dry eye disease and glaucoma. Our Clinic very much looks forward to engaging with our partners at Ulster GAA in order to further benefit its members throughout the Province.”
Welcoming the announcement, Ulster GAA President Oliver Galligan commented:
‘’Ulster GAA is delighted to announce our new partnership with Cathedral Eye Clinic. Good vision is something many people take for granted, and taking care of it is vital. As one of the premier providers of eye-care excellence on the island of Ireland, they are expertly placed to offer improved quality of vision for our officials, players and members. We look forward to working with the Clinic team to set up and promote our new joint eye-care initiatives.”
