Laser Surgery Prices: A Point to Consider
In certain cases, a laser eye surgery procedure referred to as YAG laser capsulotomy may be required to obtain perfect results. This procedure is very common and is frequently employed to enhance your vision six months to three years after undergoing certain surgeries, including cataract surgery.
YAG laser capsulotomy is required in the event that a secondary cataract is formed. Affecting roughly one in five patients in the two years following cataract surgery, the condition leads to a clouding of the skin of the old lens.
This complication is common and is easily treated with a standard YAG laser capsulotomy. This is a procedure carried out when you are fully conscious and seated, without any need for anaesthetic. The total charge for each eye in this procedure and review is:
- £350 unilateral
- £500 bilateral
- (*NB: Please note that this fee will be in addition to the price originally paid for your first procedure)
Are There Any Hidden Costs?
At Cathedral Eye Clinic, we believe in offering the highest possible standard of medical care to our patients, without those hidden and unwanted costs. Our laser surgery cost not only covers your surgery – it also covers any subsequent follow-up appointments that you may be required to attend. Many other facilities offering eye laser surgery or lens replacement treatments frequently add extra charges for essential post-operative checks. So, check the small print and compare with Cathedral Eye Clinic – your hidden-cost-free option for laser surgery and other eye treatments.
In the unlikely event that you should require additional surgery, we will ensure that you receive this at no additional cost, guaranteed. With an expert team comprised of experienced optometrists and ophthalmologists, you can select Cathedral Eye Clinic resting assured that the care of your eyesight is in good hands.
