Cathedral Eye Clinic is proud to continue its partnership with the Belfast Giants as the team’s Official Laser Eye Surgery and Eye Health Partner for the 2026/27 season.

The renewed partnership brings together two Belfast organisations with a shared commitment to excellence, performance and the local community, as the Belfast Giants embark on another exciting season of Elite Ice Hockey League action.
As part of the partnership, Cathedral Eye Clinic will continue to highlight the importance of good eye health in elite sport, where clear vision and rapid visual responses are essential. Ice hockey is one of the fastest-paced team sports, with players required to track the puck, follow developing play and react quickly to teammates and opponents, often in a matter of seconds.
For goaltenders, these visual demands are particularly significant. The ability to track a fast-moving puck, anticipate play and react to shots and deflections forms a key part of their role.
Supporting Jake Kupsky
Cathedral Eye Clinic is particularly excited to build on the partnership this season through its sponsorship of Belfast Giants goaltender Jake Kupsky.
Kupsky returns to Belfast for the 2026/27 season following his initial arrival midway through the 2025/26 campaign. He made 17 appearances for the Giants last season, recording 12 victories, a 2.12 goals-against average, a .920 save percentage and three shutouts. He was also recognised with the club’s Unsung Hero Award.
Now entering the new season with the Giants, Kupsky is an exciting addition to the Cathedral Eye Clinic partnership. As a goaltender, his position places significant visual demands on his ability to follow play and respond to shots travelling at speed.
The partnership provides an opportunity to highlight how eye health and visual performance can form an important part of an athlete’s overall wellbeing, while supporting Kupsky throughout the season.
Looking Ahead To The New Season
Cathedral Eye Clinic is delighted to renew its relationship with the Belfast Giants for another year and looks forward to being part of the team’s 2026/27 campaign.
The clinic has previously supported the Giants through eye health assessments for players, coaches and staff, including assessments this late September.
Continuing this work reflects Cathedral Eye Clinic’s wider commitment to supporting sporting organisations and promoting the importance of regular eye care.
The new season brings another packed schedule for the Giants and plenty for supporters to look forward to. Cathedral Eye Clinic is excited to follow the team throughout the campaign and, in particular, to support official sponsored player Jake Kupsky.
