Professional Bio
Christopher has worked in a range of sub-specialisms across primary and secondary care in Cambridge. He holds the professional Certificate in Medical Retina and Certification in the Theory of Independent Prescribing. He has also achieved accreditations in YAG Capsulotomy procedures making him one of the few in Northern Ireland specialised in this area. He has also had specialised training in the management of dry eye patients using therapies such as Intense Pulsed Light, punctal plugs and amniotic membranes.
Clinical Specialties
Head of Optometry services at Cathedral Eye Clinic delivering specialist services such as managing complex corneal topographies with medical contact lenses, performing YAG Capsulotomy procedures and providing advanced dry eye services. Christopher works closely with the Consultant Ophthalmologists at Cathedral advancing services with a particular focus in Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Christopher presents on a national stage, lecturing, facilitating workshops and peer reviews for Optometry colleagues in areas such as Refractive Surgery, Corneal Foreign Body removal, and management of post-operative cataract care.
