I didn’t have any of that because my form of surgery was so new and non-invasive. I was watching TV that night with no painful symptoms. Two days later I was seeing close to 100 percent, and two weeks later I had clear vision – clearer than what I was achieving before with the use of contact lenses. It was amazing waking up and not having to reach for a pair of glasses or contact lenses. I was very poorly sighted – my prescription was -6.5, so I was really dependent on glasses beforehand. It was getting progressively worse, which again made me even more eligible for laser eye surgery.
Now my eyes are focussed on the Sam McGuire cup. They say nerves are good, so I’m expecting big nerves this weekend!
My one-year follow up appointment showed up no issues – I’m absolutely delighted with the results. It’s changed my life for the better, and I would encourage anyone who is thinking about it to pursue it.
