Since Dec 06 Cathedral Eye Clinic has provided a complete ophthalmology service for 352 medical consulting. They have created in conjunction with ‘352 Medical consulting’ a clinical ophthalmology team focussed upon providing guaranteed clinical results in an accountable and verifiable fashion in keeping with the highest standards of clinical governance. This team has successfully managed to date more than 3000 ophthalmology outpatient appointments and more than 1500 medical & surgical procedures since December 06 as part of a Tier 2 waiting list initiative. This has been efficiently carried out during the weekends but with 24 hour clinical cover.
A comprehensive ongoing audit has assessed the quality of care provided against known benchmarks. In all surgical procedures assessed, results demonstrate that clinical care provided by 352 / Leeson Eye matches and often surpasses recognized UK NHS clinical benchmarks.
